What is a Non-Religious
Spiritual Director/Companion?

NON-RELIGIOUS

While my spiritual journey took me through the culture, and various subcultures, of Christianity, I now explore a more personal and individualized path to spiritual fulfillment without being tied to religious dogma, doctrine, institution, or community; and as a Non-Religious Spiritual Companion, I provide a safe space for others to do the same.

SPIRITUAL

Its meaning is in the eyes of the beholder. Its landscape is beautiful, vast, and pathless. Its mysteries are waiting to be explored. As a Non-Religious Spiritual Companion, I provide a space for others to openly, honestly, and safely discover its meaning, navigate its landscape, and explore its mysteries.

COMPANION / DIRECTOR

With its roots in many ancient and modern cultures, religions, and schools of philosophy, Spiritual Companionship (also known as Spiritual Direction) is the ancient practice of being with someone as they navigate their unique spiritual journey or relationship with what they believe to be sacred. The spiritual director / companion creates a safe space for the wanderer to explore their spiritual landscape and to tell their sacred story.

I am not a guide to tell you where to go or what to do.

I am not a counselor, therapist, or psychiatrist.

I may ask questions and share my experiences; but you are your own teacher, your own guru, your own healer.

I am a supportive presence, a listening ear, and an open mind.
